Danger Perception Map

The project was based on international students having the similar experience as mine, who have just moved to New York City from another country. After conducting surveys, I found it interesting that over half of the the students interviewed thought that NYC is dangerous. However, with some simple research, I discovered that NYC is much safer than commonly thought by interviewed students, and furthermore, that there is a misperception regarding the location of crimes. This work contains 2 maps: a danger perception map and a crime statistics map. In contrast, the map reveals the difference between perception and the truth.
